About Me

Through a series of unexpected life changes, I began the process of sifting 11 years ago. Sifting through my pain, my childhood, my theology, my values, my expectations of myself, my experiences, my privilege, my shame. So much sifting. I found myself exponentially changing through my training to become a chaplain. The self reflection required in that process, the feedback, the sifting really escalated. This led me to end a 17 year marriage and begin my solo journey as a self-partnered adult. This blog is about my reflections that come through the sharper lenses of self-awareness, self-compassion, and grief. I’ve come full circle in my deconstruction process and was recently ordained as a UCC Reverend. I will always seek growth and kindness. That is what this blog is about. I'm working on me. And through that, I'm hoping to make the world just a teeny bit better.
